Cake or Meat? You decide...

Gimme some handfuls of that delicious cake!

But it's starting to look like ground beef and that is kind of gross.

Here is his first taste, and he tenatively licks his fingers to see what that icing is all about.

And then, as Beowulf took the monster Grendel's arm, Finn took the arm of his little blue monster as well.

And he ate the hell out of it.

And then he got a big sugar rush and started making crazy noises.

Mom, this is way better than that baby food stuff. Can we eat this more often?

And then he dug in with both hands until it looked like a sirloin monster.

The End.

The Scene Stealer

Sarah was hungry and wanted some cake...

Now you might think this is a goofy picture of Bob. But if you look closely at the lower right corner, someone was caught 'red' handed in Finn's cake.

And that someone was Sarah! It was too cute! She just kept coming back for more and no one noticed but me!

Mmmmm, I like red velvet cake. Think I'll have some more.

Caught! And boy is my face red! But I'm pretty sure she's not sorry. It was good.

And here she is with brother Perrin sleeping it off on Daddy.

Cast of Characters

Let me start by saying we had 38 people here. And I don't have pics of all of them, or even close. I also only took about 10 of the2300 pics taken, so thanks to whoever was working my camera that day! I just had no time.

This is what we call a face off. They are the same size, but my money goes on Ayanna. she can climb my gates.

Ryan is confused by this wagon for just one child. What do you do with the rest of your children?

Sarah is too busy playing peekaboo to care about the wagon.

Here is Grandma Mo with the cake monster.

Here is where the posing started.... there were so many people and so little time but Erin ALWAYS has her camera out, which always reminds me to get out my own, so we have a few pics of my filthy little boy on his big day. I tell you if it weren't for her, I'd have no pictures at all! She was the only reason we even remembered to take pics at the hospital when he was born!

As Erin says, his cake looks freakishly like raw meat. Red Velvet meat. Perhaps a bad choice on my part...

The strangeness you all know in me stayed in my gene pool. Meet Erin.

Auntie Erin is always good for a pic where she looks like she is eating the baby. And she came through again.

Dad and Finn eating monster cake as a team. Team dork.

I love Daddy!!!

Two generations of Curry men, and boy is the resemblance sharp. And not just because they all usually have food on their faces.

Finn likes to get Bob dirty. And really, who doesn't?

Grandma and Poppa goofing around proudly!

Gary was showing our guests where to go, but he dropped his sign. He's such a drunk. that sucks, too, because I spent over an hour decorating it.

Beautiful Mistress Sammy Soup and her cousin Finn are ready to get down! I think they could pass as siblings.

Chris and Cassie, gorgeous as always. Perhaps someday with the same last name (Don't kill me for saying that! I have a dream...)

Here I am with the birthday boy in my Pre-Cake outfit. Good thing I did laundry.

Goodness, who knew I had so many teeth? Kinda gross...

Cassie and Finn with Grandma Lynne nearby.

Ayanna at her best!

Sam the cowgirl

Michaela, Ayanna and Lexi

the 'other' Colleen and daughter Michaela and the kids.

Well, this isn't everyone, but a good smattering. Thanks to you all for coming! See you next year!

Presents!!!

There are a LOT of presents here. Finn is overwhelmed...

Of course, the flash was off for the COOLEST PRESENT. It was dressed as a monster for the monster party, and when you pressed the eyeball, it ROARS. It was from Meva and Chuck, and the triplets and it was AWESOME.

Here is Finn wearing the pelt of the monster present after he opened it. He wore it proudly.

Pelt-ageddon.

Sammy looks like she wants a turn.

Let me start by saying we got SO MANY presents and a lot of money for Finn's college fund. Thanks to an EXTREME donation from my mom and some more large and small from all of you, we banked almost $850!!! THANK YOU so much to all of you. My child is so much more than loved and provided for. I hope someday he realizes this.

Anyway, I'm storing the presents for when he gets bored of his toys so I can slowly introduce them all and he has something new for a long time. I know it sounds psycho, but I think he'll enjoy them more that way.

It's Party Time!!!!

Complete with smoking cauldrons of beverage, and monster repellent punch with gummy worm ice cubes. The adults got beer to keep the monsters away, as that usually seems to work.

I know this looks odd, but I ordered these beach balls just to put on the chandelier. since we have such a shortage on space, we often push the table against the wall, leaving the chandelier in the middle of the room. Usually at least two people bash their skulls on it-- and it's sharp. I am happy to report no brain damage this party!

Since I couldn't find decorations up to par, I made most of them by hand and it took FOREVER, so I was happy people seemed to like them.

And of course, I forgot to take a pic of the kitchen and the decorated table in there, or the presents. But this should be enough to give you some flavor, I hope.
