Eatin like a Piglet
Finn has learned how to feed himself-- it's messy but sweet and he LOVES to do it. He's been doing it with finger-foods for some time now, but he's just mastered the fork/spoon/spork in the last few weeks.
Here he is with some blueberry applesauce. Enjoy!

Disco Fever
Here is footage of Finn dancing. He learned it from watching one of his shows. He also spins, but refused to do it for me this time. I'll get it for you soon, though.
In the mean time, NO is officially his first solid word, and he thinks it's the answer to every single question he is asked. He also claps and puts his hands in the air in celebration, and uses signs to talk to us pretty regularly.
He spends all day talking to me in gobbledygook, and I know he thinks I can understand him. He's so sweet.

Shoe Shiners
I'm not sure which I like better, the giant bruise on his forehead, or that he's wearing my shoes.
This kid is awesome.
He woke up with that, and I think it was from a bedtime tantrum in the crib-- we heard a thunk, but he was soon asleep, so I thought nothing of it until morning!!
Don't let anyone tell you girls are the same as boys-- even as young as 18 months, they're full of testosterone!!

Mark Your Calendars
I'm going to take a moment to mark Tom's success. He has been a 'featured' artist twice now at open mic nights in the city for his poetry. He has worked very hard for this, and we are very proud of him.
After his feature last week, he was invited to feature at a new kind of venue. An art gallery. It will like a verbal art show, and he will be the only one reading. A true 'Featured Artist'. Once I have more info, I will pass it along, but we're very very proud of his successes, and suggest you mark your calendars for Friday November 7.
And don't pretend you don't like poetry-- this is not about flowers or bunnies, it's loud and strong, with depth, carrying political messages and social commentary that none of us are exempt from. It's a dynamic, creative, listening experience, and it is surely your loss if you decide 'poetry' is not your thing.
I hope to see you all there, as I'm going to try like hell to make this one!
